Todd Oldham designed for the people, not the aristocracy. He was irreverent and campy and crafty and out of sync with the moment so intensely that he created a whole new one. I spent a full six months in 2017 wearing only Todd- in interviews, at home, while wondering whether life is just a practice run for something so insane we can’t imagine- and the properties of his garments are undeniable.

A recent reappraisal of his genius means the eye watering steals of yesteryear are mostly out the window. But, as with all things good, patience is a virtue and fortune favors the bold!
